Of Gordon’s six Talladega triumphs (tied for second for most TSS wins behind Dale Earnhardt, Sr), four have come in the spring’s 500. He has five pole positions at the 2.66-mile facility, including a sweep of the top-starting spots in 2015. In 46 Talladega starts, he has 16 top-five finishes, including a third-place result in his final drive at TSS in October.
In addition to the exclusive Q&A with Gordon and the Talladega 300 (2 pm CDT start) on Saturday, April 30, the day will also feature qualifying for both the Talladega 300 and the 500. Sunday’s 500 is set for a noon (CDT) start. The weekend kicks off on Friday, April 29, with a full day of practice for both races, as well as practice, qualifying and the drop of the green flag for the General Tire 200 ARCA Racing Series event (5 pm CDT start).
