Gordon will share insight on his dealings with PR executives, as well as how he has navigated the media and social media landscape during his Featured Conversation at the 2016 Sports PR Summit.

Named as one of NASCAR’s 50 Greatest Drivers, Gordon and his popular No. 24 car won the Daytona 500 three times and won the Brickyard 400 a record five times on his way to 93 career NASCAR Cup victories over a 23-year span. He is third on NASCAR’s all-time wins list.

“Jeff Gordon is a legend who was at the top of his sport for 23 years,” said Brian Berger, Founder and CEO of the Sports PR Summit. “We are incredibly fortunate that Jeff is willing to sit down for a featured conversation at the Sports PR Summit and share his wealth of experience and unique perspective with us.”

Launched in 2013, the Sports PR Summit is an invite-only event that brings together senior PR executives from the pro and collegiate sports ranks as well as from top sports corporations for panel discussions and valuable face to face networking opportunities. Prominent media members and athletes share candid insights about the best ways for PR executives to work most effectively with them. The event allows for all attendees to leave with a better understanding of the evolving communications issues and challenges in the sports industry.

Noteworthy panelists and featured speakers scheduled for the 2016 Sports PR Summit include Miami Dolphins owner and founder of the non-profit organization RISE (Ross Initiative in Sports for Equality) Stephen M. Ross, United States Olympic Committee Chief External Affairs Officer Patrick Sandusky, VISA Director of Olympic Marketing and 2004 Olympic Silver Medalist Kate Johnson and Campus Insiders VP and longtime broadcaster Bonnie Bernstein.

The 2016 Sports PR Summit will also include a roundtable discussion featuring senior PR executives from the top six U.S. professional sports leagues - NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, NASCAR and MLS.

The Players’ Tribune team including President Jaymee Messler and Editorial Director Gary Hoenig will lead a panel discussion and offer a close-up look at the first-of-its-kind digital media company, founded by Derek Jeter.
