In celebration of the 20th Anniversary of Jeff Gordon’s 1998 Darlington victory, Lionel Racing is releasing their newest addition to the NASCAR® Classics line – the 1998 No. 24 Dupont Automotive Finishes Chevrolet Monte Carlo Darlington Race Win Die Cast.
Twenty years ago, Jeff Gordon pulled off a feat that no other NASCAR driver had ever accomplished. On Sunday, September 6, 1998, he powered to his fourth straight September win at Darlington Raceway – a track notorious for chewing up a race car and spitting it back out.
It’s a record that has yet to be replicated, and it’s a die-cast that has never been offered before – until now.
It’s a historic collectible that captures it all - the beloved “Rainbow Warrior” paint scheme, the scuffs and debris from “The Lady in Back”, and even the Victory Lane confetti on the car.
PLUS, each 1:24-scale die-cast will come with a printed facsimile of the official Hendrick Motorsports Chassis Sheet from the race – complete with setup information and post-race notes! Here’s just a small preview of the sheet.

The front windshield will be signed by Jeff Gordon and the rear windshield will be signed by Ray Evernham. Both signatures will include a hologram verifying authenticity.
