What is Candy Digital?

Candy is a next generation digital collectible company offering digital assets for fans and collectors.

Fans and collectors will be able to purchase, trade, and share NFTs to deepen their love of sports. Our team of world-class digital artists, designers, and technologists are developing a broad range of digital collectibles, beginning with sports content and expanding into art, entertainment, music, and more.

What is an “NFT”?

A Non-Fungible Token (NFT) is a unit of data, stored on a blockchain, that certifies a digital asset to be unique and therefore not interchangeable. NFTs can be used to represent unique ownership of photos, videos, audio, and other types of digital files. Candy creates digital collectibles tied to real life experiences and events as NFTs.

What blockchain does Candy use for NFTs?

Candy Digital NFTs are built on top of Palm blockchain infrastructure due to its token powered ecosystem, scalability, and commitment to the experience of their creators and collectors. Palm uses a consensus mechanism called IBFT-2, a rotating Proof-of-Authority consensus method which allows affordable transactions and nearly 0% carbon footprint. Furthermore, Palm is a nice compliment to Ethereum L1. It allows for a quick, efficient, and clean marketplace for collectors to safely trade, buy, and sell verified Candy NFTs with the option to transfer NFTs to the mainnet and buy or sell on Opensea and other marketplaces (details).

How do I buy an NFT through Candy?

It's as simple as buying anything online. Go to www.candy.com, create an account if you haven't already, click on the item you like, and then simply pay with your credit card. You'll see your purchase in your personal Candy Collection.

Will I be able to sell these NFTs on Candy's secondary marketplace?

Yes, NFTs can be sold on Candy's verified secondary marketplace. Click “Marketplace” to get started.

What all team cars can be purchased through Candy's Next Gen Digi-Cast drop?

Fourteen cars will be available for purchase. Check out Candy's blog post for full details - click here.

When will the Candy Racing collection be released?

The “Candy Racing Bundle” (all 14 cars) will also be released on the primary marketplace at 9:05 AM EST on February 15th. The Bundle will increase to $500 after the first 500 minutes.

The entire Candy Racing Collection will end at 2:00 PM ET on February 20th, 2022 when the primary marketplace closes.

“The Candy Racing Bundle” will cost $500.00 USD.

Fans can purchase the entire line - aka “The Candy Racing Bundle” - which includes all 14 cars!

Purchases can be made using Visa/Mastercard, or using funds in your Candy balance.

Will I be able to sell my Candy Racing NFTs on OpenSea?

Candy Racing NFTs are minted on Palm. In the future, the functionality to sell Candy NFTs on OpenSea will be rolled out. At that time, collectors will need to transfer their NFTs to an external digital wallet and bridge them to Ethereum mainnet.

Where will I see my Candy Racing NFTs after purchasing?

Your Candy Racing NFTs will appear in “My Collection” within your Profile Page (top right). You can click this link to go directly to your Candy Racing collection: https://racing.candy.com/collection.

How will Candy Racing NFTs be serialized?

Candy Racing NFTs will be serialized on a first come, first serve basis. For example: the user who purchases first will have Serial #1 of that driver, the user who purchases second will have Serial #2, etc.

For the Candy Racing bundles - serial numbers are also first come, first serve. Serial numbers of the NFTs in the bundles can vary due to the timing of transactions on the blockchain and depending on the volume of users purchasing at the same time.

What is the “Candy Racing Collection Challenge” and how do I qualify?

The Candy Racing Collection Challenge celebrates the top 3 finishers from Candy’s 14 drivers that are competing in the race at Daytona on February 20th, 2022. Collectors who have a top 3 finisher in their collection will be rewarded with a special reward NFT. This NFT is exclusive to this challenge and will not be for sale on Candy’s primary marketplace.

The rewards will have 3 “tiers”: 1st place, 2nd place, and 3rd place. Each tier will be specific to each finisher.

The reward NFTs will be airdropped to the winners 7-10 days following the race at Daytona. Owners will receive a reward for each of the Top 3 finishers’ NFTs that they have in their collection (there is no limit for the amount of rewards a user can earn).

Please Note: Owners of top 3 finishers must have purchased their Candy Racing drivers on the primary marketplace, which closes at 2:00 PM ET on February 20th, 2022, in order to be eligible to participate and win in the Candy Racing Collection Challenge. Collectibles purchased after the primary marketplace closes at 2:00 PM ET on February 20th, 2022 will not receive a reward.

Will Candy Racing NFTs be available on Candy’s secondary marketplace?

Yes! Fans and collectors will be able to buy & sell Candy Racing collectibles when the secondary marketplace opens following the conclusion of the race at Daytona on February 20th, 2022.

Please Note: Purchases made on the secondary marketplace do not qualify for the Candy Cup Challenge.
