I am honored to be the August 2014 Jeff Gordon #Team24 Fan Club Fan of the Month. I live in Upstate NY and have been into cars/racing since I was 10 years old, going so far to even place second in points one year at a local track (Albany/Saratoga Speedway – a short dirt track much like the ones where Jeff’s career started). I was a fan of both Alan Kulwicki and Davey Allison, but also found interest in this rookie named Jeff Gordon in 1993 and was impressed with his passion and courage. After the tragic passing of both Alan and Davey, I “adopted” Jeff Gordon as my favorite driver and have been a fan ever since. I’ve been to Watkins Glen a number of times and have recently been making an annual weekend trip to New Hampshire Motor Speedway for the September Chase race. I hope to see Jeff in victory lane September 21st this year! You’re having an awesome year Jeff! Bring the Sprint Cup Back to the # 24 garage! (P.S. – It was AWESOME to see the whole family celebrating at the Brickyard.)
