Feed the Need

Sometimes when you're at the racetrack you may want more than just a hot dog and a funnel cake to satisfy your appetite. We asked some of the 24/48 road crew guys where they like to go for a good meal when they're traveling the NASCAR circuit...

Caleb Hurd (#24 Gas Man)- "I really like Rustlers Rooste in Phoenix. You walk in upstairs and they actually have a slide that you can take downstairs into the dining room. It's pretty cool. Any of the steaks are to die for there too."

Chad Knaus (#48 Crew Chief)- "The place I like the best sometimes is my motor coach (laughing)! Seriously though, I like Koi in Los Angeles because it's a great sushi restaurant. I also like going to Fogo de Chao in Atlanta. It's a Brazilian steakhouse that serves amazing food. And how can you say that you don't like eating at In-n-Out Burger when you're on the West Coast!"

Steve Letarte (#24 Crew Chief)- "St. Elmo's in Indianapolis is one that I usually go to. They have really good steaks and seafood, and an excellent wine list. But I second Chad's comment about the motor coach! Lots of times the two of us will grill right next to each other and cook up some great food. But when I go out I like to get a really good meal in a nice setting, which is why I like St. Elmo's."

Shane Parsnow (Engines)- "I would say my favorite restaurant is Marguaritaville in San Rafael, California. It's halfway between Infineon Raceway and San Francisco. It's a Mexican place and they have a great buffet bar there. The setting is great too-it's right on the water."
